A 7,226-hectare nature reserve on the southern flank of Gredos, where water has shaped everything. The river tumbles between granite and gneiss and has carved circular pools into the rock — giant potholes — which at Los Pilones form the most spectacular set in the range. Around it, a valley running from 600 to 2,000 metres that changes completely with altitude.
