Río Lobos Canyon Natural Park, Soria and Burgos

Over twenty-five kilometres of limestone canyon carved by the river Lobos between Soria and Burgos, with griffon vultures wheeling above the walls and a 13th-century hermitage, attributed to the Templars, at the mouth of a cave that tradition links to pagan rites. A Natural Park since 1985, it is one of those places where geology and legend blend without a clear border between them.
