For a century the Olive Oil Train ran the Linares–Puente Genil line, carrying olive oil out of the Sierra Sur of Jaén. It closed in 1985 and its course is today a greenway you ride through an endless sea of olive trees, crossing late 19th-century metal viaducts designed by Daydé and Pillé, disciples of Eiffel. The air smells of the oil mills.
